Are you someone who is passionate about improving life for other adults with ADHD, or for children and families with ADHD?  If so, you might want to consider starting a local support group in your area to help others.

Here at the Scottish ADHD Coalition we have lots of information available to get you started.  All of the groups which are are part of the Coalition were started by individuals who had been affected by ADHD in one way or another and wanted to make a difference.    If you are keen to do the same, we can help you by:

  • Connecting you to a more experienced group leader who can mentor you and share their experiences of setting up a support group
  • Sharing ideas for meeting topics and formats, and workshop materials which have been developed and tested out by other groups
  • Joining your new group up to the Coalition to help get it publicised and known.

Groups often start very small with a closed Facebook group and a series of regular get togethers where parents or adults can meet up, share experiences and learn from one another – but even this can be a huge help to someone who is struggling and feeling isolated in the challenges they are facing.
