Peer Support Groups map back up to date!

We’ve just updated the list of local ADHD support groups and voluntary organisations in Scotland. If you know of one we’ve missed or where the details we hold are inaccurate, let us know, as the aim is to keep this up to date!

We also are happy to expand the list and include neurodivergent groups (that is groups that support ADHDers as part of their remit). Just send us details, by email to info@scottishadhdcoalition.org.

Scottish ADHD Coalition Letter to CAMHS

Dear Sir/Madam

Decision to close the Neurodevelopmental assessment pathway

Decision to restrict assessment to ‘complex’ cases

As Chair of the Scottish ADHD Coalition, I am obliged to raise concerns on behalf of member and partner organisations with respect to the recent changes outlined above.

· The clinical justifiability of the decisions taken by NHS Tayside

Legal concerns

Members and partners have raised with the coalition what appear to be significant flaws in the legal process surrounding the decisions above and, notable, … [continue reading]

1.       To assist local support groups by sharing help and experience, and help others to be formed.

2.        To lobby at national level for an improvement in services, including assessment and diagnosis, for families affected by ADHD.

We were clear at the time that our own limited capacity would restrict us in providing direct support to individuals and acknowledged this in terms of balancing our funding stream with the demand projected for our services.

Since then, however, it has become obvious that the Coalition has become … [continue reading]
